Educator. Leader. Student-centered

Expanding Academic Excellence & Equity

I believe every student has the potential to succeed and deserves a meaningful pathway to that success, regardless of their background or starting point. I am passionate about advocating for policies and practices that promote both equity and excellence in education. I focus on bridging the gap between high-level policy and the practical needs of the classroom, working to dismantle barriers and ensure every learner has the resources, support, and opportunities they need to thrive. By prioritizing both equity and excellence, we can create an educational system where opportunity is not a privilege, but the standard for every student.

1

Strengthening Systems for Students & Staff

I believe in creating systemic conditions for both students and staff to succeed. I believe we must prioritize the well-being and professional growth of our educators by providing meaningful professional learning opportunities that equip them to meet the evolving needs of our students. At the same time, we must ensure students have the academic, social, and emotional supports necessary to thrive in school. When we invest in our educators and strengthen systems that support student well-being, we create a stronger, more responsive educational environment where both staff and students can grow and succeed together.

2

Ensuring Representation of Our Community

I am passionate about giving back to students, families, and the broader community. My professional, personal, and educational journey has given me a deep understanding of both the challenges and opportunities within public education. Through my work with diverse stakeholders, I have developed a perspective grounded in inclusion, belonging, and respect for the strengths every community brings to schools. These experiences have strengthened my commitment to creating learning environments where every student feels supported and valued. I bring thoughtful judgment, focus, and disciplined leadership to this work—qualities I believe are essential for translating community needs into strong policies and effective board leadership.

The Future

I am committed to ensuring that every student receives an equitable education that prepares them for their post-secondary journey. My vision involves increasing the capacity of PXU schools to sustain highly competitive academic programs while expanding the comprehensive support services essential for student resilience. By continuing to invest in enriching extracurricular opportunities, we can support the holistic development of our students and ensure they graduate not only prepared for college and careers, but empowered to thrive and lead in their communities.
